5 benefits of raising your vibration & how to do it

Last week I wrote about how everything has a specific frequency that affects you—which we can measure thanks to the research of Dr. David R. Hawkins. He created a scale of consciousness that shows the vibration of your emotions and how that impacts you and your life.

He also discovered that the level of 200 on that scale is the initial level of empowerment—which is characterized by the willingness to stop blaming and accept responsibility for one’s own actions, feelings, and beliefs. This week we’ll focus on the benefits of raising your vibration and what you can do on a practical level to help raise your vibration. Let’s start with what you stand to gain.

Here’s the top five benefits of raising your vibration:

1. You will have more energy.

Because you vibrate at a higher level, you have more access to the “power” of your energetic body and thus energy flows in more freely and easily. Hawkins’ research showed that higher consciousness levels create stronger kinesiological responses—literally more power flowing through your system.

A higher vibration increases your overall wellbeing as well. In addition, lower-level energies are usually draining—keeping you in survival mode where your body’s resources are constantly on alert.

2. You will be able to feel more love.

As you increase your vibration you let go of lower-level energies such as fear, jealousy, and anger. This opens up room for more love. Love for yourself and love for others. Increased compassion is an important side effect. Something we (and the world) can all use more of in our lives.

3. You will be able to hear your inner wisdom better.

As you vibrate at a higher frequency, you become more aligned with yourself and your truth. This alignment makes it easier to hear what your intuition is trying to convey to you and be discerning about those insights.

4. You will feel more confident.

As you let go of lower-level energies and get more in touch with your true self, you will naturally have more confidence in yourself and what you are here to bring. Even if you are not aware of that shift, it shows and people will definitely notice your increased confidence.

5. You will be happier and healthier.

Higher vibrational states support your body’s natural healing capacity and overall wellbeing. When you’re not operating in chronic stress and survival mode (below 200), your immune system functions optimally and your body can focus on regeneration rather than defense.

These benefits demonstrate that the level at which you vibrate impacts many, if not all, areas of your life. Raising your vibration is a continuous process; one you want to stay in touch with and on top of.

How to raise your vibration

There are numerous ways to raise your vibration, such as using essential oils, listening to your favorite music, and dancing. Through the process of entrainment—the automatic synchronization of two processes—you can raise your vibe by being around people who vibrate at a higher level than you. That’s why it matters so much who you spend time with.

Over the years I’ve become much more conscious about the impact of my vibration. It helped me understand choices I have made throughout my entire life and habits I unconsciously developed.

Like my preference to drink water from a crystal glass. Or hum at my food to raise its vibe. Which doesn’t always go unnoticed. I’ll never forget my father’s face when he asked, “Do you realize you are making noise?” That memory still makes me laugh. It may sound silly, but I can actually feel the difference.

The power of music

Music has a strong impact on your energy level and vibration, whether you are aware of it or not. Dr. David R. Hawkins’s extensive research has shown the music of Bach will make every person go strong, even if they don’t personally appreciate classical music. Just as heavy metal music makes everyone go weak, even if it is your favorite sound.

Isn’t that amazing? That our bodies and energies respond to outside stimuli that much?

I know from experience that certain music can literally drain me instantly and another song can boost my energy. Not everyone always understood or appreciated my sudden desire to change radio stations or skip forward to another song. I did it because that song was exhausting me. You may or may not be consciously aware of the effect music has on you, but it certainly has a big impact.

Things like music and essential oils are great ways to instantly raise your vibration. The downside is it often works only temporarily.
