How to distinguish between your fear and your intuition

June 28, 2021

It’s one of the most common mistakes I see. You are trying to make a decision and you want to listen to your intuition. So you listen to the signs of your body.

You ask yourself “How does it feel?”

And you notice a nervousness or tension in your stomach. So you conclude this thing is not for you, because your inner guidance told you so. Because it didn’t feel right.

I hate to break it to you but chances are that you just let your fear guide the way!

If you never want to doubt your intuition again, then I have good news! 🙂

Doors to ‘How to Listen to Your Intuition’ are open!

I’ve made this powerful program available for self-study for a limited amount of time. And I’ve added a live Q&A call.

Here’s why your fear is trying to get your attention:

Your (ego) mind is trying to keep you safe. That’s its job. It needs to make sure you steer clear from danger. Your mind steers you away from uncharted territory because it doesn’t know its way around there.

Your brain has no map of this new place you’ve never been. It has no signposts or warning signals it can follow to safely navigate you through this new place.

So it pulls out the only tool it has left: your mind makes sure you don’t go there!

Because if you stay on the safe side of the fence, there is no need to worry. Over here your brain knows all the nooks and crannies.

Your brain gives off a signal of discomfort because it knows you’ll instinctively lean away from it. You’ll take a step back into your comfort zone in order to stop this unpleasant sensation.

If you’re tuning into your body to know whether you should move forward or not, and you check in and decide that this feeling of restlessness means you should stay put then you didn’t listen to your intuition but to your fear—instilled by your brilliant mind.

Your mind pulls strings behind the curtain all the time.

It has your best interest at heart, but in its overriding desire to keep you safe your brain keeps you from making some decisions that would’ve been in your highest good.

That’s why it’s crucial to be able to tell the difference between your fear and your intuition.

You need to know when that sense of unease in your stomach is your gut instinct speaking to you, or simply an attempt of your mind to keep you safe and playing small.

That’s what I’ll be teaching you in my online program How to Listen to your Intuition
